Let me start by saying if you're looking for a quality panel saw and manufacturer stay far away from SAW TRAX. I was looking for a panel saw in the category of a Safety Speed Cut 6400 I finally settled on the Saw Trax 64 with almost all options available. From the time my saw arrived there was nothing but problems. The design of this saw will NEVER allow for a square cut (This was confirmed to me by not only my saw but I was also told by Saw Trax the crate the saw arrives on was built by one of their machines not a piece on it was square). The Saw Trax selling point is their accusquare system which I found should be called the neversquare system. The first issue is the wheel plane design is very flawed. They discredit the SSC design of each individual wheel being adjustable but the truth is it works flawlessly (I have owned both and have since gone back to SSC without any issues). Saw Trax design uses a punched hole for each wheel and fixed left side wheel plane with adjustment up or down on the far side of the right wheel plane. Also with the heavy duty wheels they become a three piece wheel( a steel hub, plastic wheel and a steel band around the plastic wheel for extended durability). The issue with this set up is the tolerance of the wheel parts is very poor resulting in differences in the diameter of the wheel. This coupled with a fixed mounting hole results in a wheel plane that is not straight. When you roll a short board on the wheel plane it moves up and down over the wheels resulting in the work piece changing its reference to square to the blade. If one of the two wheel planes is mounted incorrectly as mine was you can not use their system to square the saw. The next problem was the saw retraction system. If you follow their instructions and load the spring to achieve neutral hold on the saw the cable becomes too short and will not allow you to cut all the way through the work piece thus you must loosen the retraction mechanism. Let me say I was disappointed with quality of the machine. The frame was 1 1/4" as compared the SSC which is 1 1/2" square tubing and the Saw Trax doesn't have a W design behind the horizontal bars which as a result causes the frame to sag back even one of lowest model model SSC portable panel saws which has a short frame has this concept applied. This machine if you look at it closely was built with off the shelf hardware store parts. Their repeat cutting stop attachment which is grossly over priced is constructed from 8020 aluminum parts that available on Amazon or ebay for a total cost $60 these parts are generally used for building cubicles or lab tables etc... However the biggest disappointment wasn't even the product it was customer service or lack there of. When you build a product and print a tolerance of accuracy stand behind it. Bottom line is this company DOESN'T STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS. You ask for help in the end YOU GET TOLD IT'S NOT THEIR FAULT NOT THEIR PROBLEM AND ALL SALES ARE ABSOLUTELY FINAL PERIOD. When the expert they hired proves the machine was found to bad and that it was about 5 times out of the advertised tolerance and they want you to pay for his time and they won't fix it. Because of this and other similar problems a major distributor from which the machine was purchased now sells SSC not Saw trax. That says a lot about Saw Trax. So does their seller rating on Amazon 33% positive(3 left feedbacks as of sept 2007) if you don't take it from me let that speak for itself BUYER BEWARE!!!!

By the way the satisfied reviewer happens to be from the same place the machine is sold you decide BUYER BEWARE!!!!
